Mission Department

Mandate: The Mission department deals with the Mission of the Church in spreading the Gospel of Christ within Kitengela environs. Focusing on the Ministry of the Word and evangelism, discipleship and preaching and salvation; it ensures that Christians receive God’s Word and have a good foundation upon which the Church Strives. It coordinates with the archdeaconry & diocese through the Vicar to ensure personal growth in faith and commitment to Christ in all aspects of the believer’s life

Activities Carried out in 2019

  • ACK St. Marks Oloontoto

The department in conjunction with ACK St. Marks Oloontoto organized weekend mission that saw 15 souls came to Christ in March 2019

 

  • Mission Week

The Mission department in conjunction with ACK St. Patrick – Kayole had full week evangelism whose activities included door to door evangelism, crusades & revival in April 2019. About 60 souls came to Christ.

Youth – giving life to Christ

  • Weekend Challenge

The department successfully organized two-weekend challenges with Oloosuyian Girls and Stepping stones Elementary School respectively. About 30 girls from Oloosuyian Girls got saved. The Mission team together with other partners donated sanitary pads, soap, and bathing towels to each girl in the school.

On Mother’s Day 17th May 2020, the Mission team together with the clergy visited Openhands children’s home in Korompoi and donated foodstuff and soap. Over Vicar shared a word of encouragement with the children
